Introduction
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) affects 1 in 3 women in Kenya, leaving lasting scars on individuals, families, and communities. At RPSK, we refuse to stay silent. Our mission is to create safe spaces, provide survivor support, and advocate for stronger policies to end GBV once and for all.
The Reality of GBV in Kenya
- Over 41% of women in Kenya have faced intimate partner violence.
- Many survivors lack access to counseling, legal aid, and financial support.
- Cultural stigmas often silence victims, leaving them vulnerable.
How RPSK Is Taking Action
- Community Awareness Campaigns: Educating families, schools, and workplaces.
- Support Centers: Offering counseling, medical care, and shelter to GBV survivors.
- Legal Advocacy: Working with policymakers to enforce strict anti-GBV laws.
- Safe Spaces: Building peer groups where survivors can heal and rebuild.
A Survivor’s Story
Meet Achieng’, a 19-year-old who escaped an abusive home. Through RPSK’s support program, she received counseling, mentorship, and business training. Today, she runs a thriving baking business and is a vocal advocate for GBV awareness in her community.
